I took Ava to the pool early so there was virtually NO ONE there. It was overcast so we took advantage!!

Ava had her very first ballet recital. Miss Claudia did an incredible job getting 20 2 year olds to actually perform!! They were awesome! I am hoping someone will send me video footage! ahem! please!?

Miss Claudia asked me if I would play and sing a song so we decided upon a sing along with the kids. Here is the footage from the song.

If all the raindrops....

Ava sings about the rain on the terrace.... My favorite part of this clip is the end when she sees a plane and assumes that everyone that flies on an airplane goes to "Nonni's House" in FLA.

I FOUND AN ANT!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was Easter Sunday, it was GORGEOUS OUTSIDE! Sunny, & 75 degrees!
Ava got to take advantage of our terrace in the warmth and while playing with her dolls, she discovered an ant. Her excitement over this ant made me laugh so hard I ran quickly to find the camera.

The clip ends with her noticing that the ant "stopped". While filming her, I accidentally stepped on it!!! I felt AWFUL so I told her he was asleep....

Calling Daddy from Mommy's office

Ava visited my office last week and we called daddy on speakerphone.
She ran around the office and loves drawing on my white erase board the most.

This is Ash's favorite video. Ava loves baseball and especially the Yankees, because of her daddy. While driving we passed a little league game and Ava broke out into song. I secretly filmed her in action.

Popping Bubble Wrap!

I was inspired by Angela's video of Bennett going insane on a piece of bubble wrap so I gave ava some while we were packing.

St Patrick's Day

Let the record show that the day before St Patrick's Day while playing at Grandpa Michael's we were trying to get ava excited about St Patricks Day. We kept shouting things like "YEAH! TOMORROW IS ST PADDY'S DAY! It's gonna be so fun!" and "St Paddy's is the best!"
Suddenly Ava started to cry... like real tears cry.
I asked "Ava what's wrong?!"
She said " I DON'T WANNNNA SEE PATTY!"
hahahahahaa

Ava's version of The Little Mermaid's "Part of your World."

We have recently entered the princess phase so I introduced Ava to some songs from The Little Mermaid, though she has never seen the movie. I noticed one night she was finishing my sentences so I encouraged her to sing it and caught it on tape.

The Ava & Lucy Project

After not seeing each other for 6 weeks, Cate and I filmed the "homecoming" from each end of the hallway. I originally set out to mash up the two videos for sentimental reasons etc but then I discovered this super cool feature in imovie and I decided to play around.

This was SO MUCH FUN to make so I plan to make more in the future! I used random bits of old and new footage of the girls so they are all different ages.

"I'm going to work.. in Hoboken"

Ava loves to put on my heels and walk around and lately she has told Ash and I that shes "going to work". Luckily she only gets as far as the door. I walked in my room to find her in my heels so I ran and grabbed the camera and caught it on tape.

Lucy's back from California!

Ava's best friend Lucy and her family have been in California for 6 weeks. I reminded her that Lucy got back today and she will be seeing her tomorrow and she got VERY excited. TOO cute.
She also discusses the importance of eating organic foods.  Just kidding. ;)

"Once Upon A Time", A funny toddler reads a story

Tonight Ava read to her doll Nina. She continued to say " Once Upon A Time" as she began each page. It took a lot of self control not to laugh out loud while I was filming.

I CAN DO THAT!

After our Friday afternoon class at The Little Gym there is a tap class for girls ages 3 and up.
Wrangling Ava to get in her coat and leave is virtually impossible because she is simply enamored with these little girls in their noisy shoes.
Last night was no different, except this time she snuck into the class in a diaper and sneakers of all things and joined the girls for their warm up. Luckily my friend Angela's mother snapped me out of my frozen state and told me to "GRAB THE CAMERA!". I only took 30 seconds of footage because I needed to get her out of the class before we disturbed them anymore so that is why there is so little.
I certainly know that the Easter Bunny will be bringing tap shoes for little Ava this year....

Two & A Half Minutes with Ava - All the single ladies HOLLLA!

My mother sent a box of Vday gifts to Ava. This box included a pink feather boa, a pack of sparkly lip gloss, a pair of plastic high heels with jewels on the front and a red ring (looks like a ring pop but smaller) and when you turn the jewel it lights up.
Since she has received this red ring, she has requested "ALL THE SINGLE LADIES" be played on repeat for the entire weekend. She seems to have a car dance and a house dance. I tried my best to capture it on video but she was distracted by her new playhouse.

I am obsessed with shows like American Idol, So you think you can dance and now the new show " Live To Dance".  While sharing my love for this show with Carol, Ava began to imitate the acts. First she started spinning on the floor while watching a break dancer.
This one in particular is to Usher's Song that she loves so much.

THE BEST OF BENJAMIN 2010!

What an amazing experience to be a part of The Benjamin School's 50th anniversary! To commemorate the special event this years Variety Show was called "The Best of Benjamin". Allison Berry & I were two of the Alumni asked to perform at this extra special event.
